1. We provide you an opportunity to unpack your problems in a private setting and talk about your difficulties and challenges with our caring professionals who will listen to you in a non-judgemental way. Haven’t we learned, “a problem shared is a problem halved?”
  2. You get to talk to a competent, trained and experienced professionals with advanced degrees in social work. Our counsellors / therapists are Registered Social Workers (RSW) and have been in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) for years.
  3. We view life challenges from a ‘wellness model’ and not from the ‘medical model’. We don’t see you as being ‘sick’, or ’weak’ rather we see you as someone brave enough to seek support or guidance and motivated to make positive changes.
  4. We try to help you efficiently manage your thoughts and feeling by making you more aware. Your life’s direction is determined to a large extent by your thoughts and feelings and ability to manage your thoughts and feelings determines the sense of control you have over the circumstances of your life.

We attempt to help you get an insight into your problems and perhaps you will experience the ‘aha moment’ which can help you understand the reason why you are feeling the way you feel or at times, provide an answer to why the problem exists. It is true that the ‘insight’ is not a solution to your problem but it will get you working towards the solution if you are looking for a change in the quality of life.
  6. Our model is, what can be termed ‘problem solver model’, in that we help you find solutions that will work for you and more importantly, the ones that you are comfortable to work with. We try to pair our expertise to your problems and collaboratively work on the solution by providing you some tools which may help you to bring the change that you desire.
  7. We can help you understand maladaptive/self defeating behaviour that makes your life less happy. We can also help you identify and change those behaviours and replace them with the behaviours that can give your better life
